Article 51 Calculation of timeI1

(1)
Where a period of time for doing any act is specified by these Rules or by a direction of the Commission, that period is to be calculated—
(a)
excluding the day on which the period begins; and
(b)
where the period is 10 days or less, excluding any day which is not a business day.
(2)
Where the time specified by these Rules or by a direction of the Commission for doing any act ends on a day which is not a business day, that act is done in time if it is done on the next business day.
(3)
In this rule, “business day” means any day other than a Saturday or Sunday, a bank holiday, Christmas Day, 27th to 31st December or Good Friday.
