Article 2 InterpretationI1

In this Order –

• “affected” means affected with the specified disease;

• “carcase” includes part of a carcase, and the meat, bones, skin, offal or any part of an animal or bird or any portion thereof;

• “Divisional Veterinary Officer” means a Divisional Veterinary Officer of the Department;

• “specified disease” means a disease specified in column 2 of the Schedule when it affects such animals or poultry as are specified in column 3 of that Schedule opposite the reference to such disease;

• “suspected” means suspected of being affected; and

• “the 1981 Order” means the Diseases of Animals (Northern Ireland) Order 1981.

In this Order any reference to an animal or bird includes a reference to the carcase of such an animal or bird.
