Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

The Supreme Court Fees Order 2024 (S.I. 2024/148) (“the 2024 Order”) prescribes the fees payable in the Supreme Court. The fees set by the 2024 Order reflected historic inflation up to March 2023.

The Schedule to this Order, introduced by article 2, amends selected fees to apply an inflation-based increase of 5.9% (rounded down to the nearest £5) to reflect the change in the value of money as measured by the Consumer Price Index in the period from March 2023 to March 2025.

No impact assessment has been carried out for these amendments as no, or no significant impact on the private, voluntary or public sectors is foreseen.
