Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Territorial Sea (Limits) Order 1989 to reflect the agreement between the United Kingdom and France that the coordinates of the points defining the territorial sea boundary between the United Kingdom and France in the Straits of Dover should be reformulated in World Geodetic Datum System 1984 (WGS 84). The agreement between the United Kingdom and France is constituted by the Exchange of Letters done at Paris on 20 April 2011 (Cm 8146).
