This Act may be cited as the Trade Union (Amalgamations, etc.) Act 1964, and may be cited together with the Trade Union Acts 1871 to 1913 as the Trade Union Acts 1871 to 1964.

This Act shall come into force on such date as the Minister of Labour may by order made by statutory instrument appoint, and different dates may be appointed under this subsection for different provisions of this Act or for different purposes.
