Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force on 1st September 2003 those provisions of the Transport Act 1968 which are not already in force. Those provisions are the outstanding parts of section 99, of which subsections (1) to (9) were commenced in 1970 except in so far as they relate to the entry and inspection of any vehicle or to any equipment installed on any vehicle for the purposes of section 97 of the Act or any such record as is mentioned in that section. This Order removes the exception and brings into force subsection (10).
