Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
Article 2 of this Order adds Meningococcal Group C to the diseases to which the Vaccine Damage Payments Act 1979 (“the Act”) applies. Article 3 modifies the condition of entitlement in section 2(1)(b) of the Act so that it is not a condition in relation to Meningococcal Group C that the vaccinated person was under eighteen at the time or that there was an outbreak of the disease within the United Kingdom or Isle of Man when the vaccination was given.
This Order does not impose any costs on business.
