Paragraph 4 Prescriptions by a veterinary surgeon

A veterinary surgeon who prescribes a veterinary medicinal product classified as POM-V F1or a veterinary medicinal product under the cascade must first carry out a clinical assessment of the animal, and the animal must be under that veterinary surgeon’s care.

This does not apply in relation to the administration of such a product to a wild animal where the administration is authorised by the Secretary of State.
