The Secretary of State for Social Security in exercise of powers conferred by section 166(2) and (3) of the Social Security Act 1975f1 and sections 25(1), (2) and (3), 29(1), and 30(1) of the Social Security Act 1989f2, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

1975 c. 14; section 166(2) and (3) of the Social Security Act 1975 is applied to section 25 of the Social Security Act 1989 by section 29(1) of that Act.

1989 c. 24; section 30(1) is cited because of the meaning it ascribes to the word “regulations”. Section 25 is extended to Northern Ireland by section 33(6).
