Regulation 14 Publication of election addresses or candidate statementsI1

England and Wales

(1)

The platform operator must publish, or arrange to be published, on the platform, an election address or candidate statement that—

(a)

is received on or before the submission date, and

(b)

complies with the relevant requirements.

(2)

The election address or candidate statement must be published as soon as reasonably practicable after it is received by the platform operator and, in any event, no later than the fourth day before the day of the poll.

(3)

The following days are to be disregarded for the purposes of calculating the deadline referred to in paragraph (2)—

(a)

a Saturday;

(b)

a Sunday;

(c)

Christmas Eve;

(d)

Christmas Day;

(e)

Good Friday;

(f)

a day that is a bank holiday in England and Wales under the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971^f1;

(g)

a day appointed for public thanksgiving or mourning.
