Paragraph 39 Pensionable service under the AFPS 2005 for a transition member with continuity of serviceF1

This paragraph applies in relation to a transition member with continuity of service (T) who is in pensionable service under the AFPS 2015.

In determining whether T qualifies under the AFPS 2005 for retirement benefits (other than early benefits on ill-health), T’s pensionable service under the AFPS 2005 terminates when T’s pensionable service under the AFPS 2015 terminates.
