(1)

The Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988 is amended as follows.

(2)

In Schedule 1 (offences to which sections 1, 6, 11 and 12(1) of that Act apply)—

(a)

in paragraph 1A(b), omit the final “, and”;

(b)

in paragraph 1A(c), at the end insert

“, and

(d)

an offence under section 66 (3) of the Automated Vehicles Act 2024, where the offence consists of a failure of a person driving or propelling a vehicle to comply with a direction under section 65 (1)(a) of that Act.”;

(c)

before paragraph 3(c) insert—

“(bc)

an offence under section 66 (3) of the Automated Vehicles Act 2024, where the offence consists of a failure of a person driving or propelling a vehicle to comply with a direction under section 65 (1)(a) of that Act, and”;

(d)

before paragraph 4(b) insert—

“(ab)

an offence under section 66 (3) of the Automated Vehicles Act 2024, where the offence consists of a failure of a person driving or propelling a vehicle to comply with a direction under section 65 (1)(a) of that Act, and”.

(3)

In Part 2 of Schedule 2 (penalties for road traffic offences) at the end insert—

“

An offence under section 66 (3) of the Automated Vehicles Act 2024, where the offence consists of a failure of a person driving or propelling a vehicle to comply with a direction under section 65 (1)(a) of that Act. Discretionary. Obligatory. 3

”.
