Section 56 Amendment of offence concerning fitting of unsuitable partsI1I2

In section 76 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 (fitting and supply of defective or unsuitable vehicle parts), at the end insert—

“(11)

In this section—

(a)

references to a vehicle part include software (except in subsection (5)(a)), and

(b)

references to fitting a vehicle part to a vehicle include installing software in, or otherwise making software interact with, a vehicle.”
