Article 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

This Order may be cited as the Awards for All (England) Joint Scheme (Authorisation) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st April 2002.

In this Order—

  • “the 1993 Act” means the National Lottery etc. Act 1993; and

any reference to a joint scheme is to a joint scheme falling within section 25B of the 1993 Actf1.

Section 25B of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 permits a body which distributes money under section 25(1) of that Act to participate with one or more other such bodies in a joint scheme for the distribution of money under that provision. Section 25B was inserted by section 12(1) of the National Lottery Act 1998.
