In subsection (2), after “spouse” insert “ or civil partner ”.

(3)

In subsection (3)—

(a)

omit the word “and” immediately before “references”,

(b)

for “reputed spouse;” substitute “ reputed spouse, and references to a civil partner include a former civil partner; ”, and

(c)

for “had been a child born to him in wedlock” substitute “ were the legitimate child of the relationship in question ”.
