RIGHTS IN PERFORMANCES

The King's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

His Majesty, by and with the advice of His Privy Council, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 159, 206(4) and 208 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988^f1 (“the Act”), is pleased to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows.

His Majesty is satisfied that provision has been or will be made under the law of India, in respect of wireless broadcasts^f2 and broadcasts^f3, giving adequate protection to the owners of copyright under Part 1 of the Act and that provision has been or will be made under the law of India giving adequate protection for British performances^f4.
