Paragraph 20E is amended as follows.

In sub-paragraph (1), for “the responsible” substitute “ a ”.

In sub-paragraph (2), for “the responsible” substitute “ a ”.

In sub-paragraph (3)(b), for “2 years” substitute “ 5 years ”.

After sub-paragraph (3) insert—

In this paragraph “chief officer of police” means—

(a)

a chief officer of police of a police force in England and Wales,

(b)

the chief constable of the Police Service of Scotland, or

(c)

the Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland.”
