Section 169 Harassment of a person in their homeI1I2

(1)

The Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 is amended as follows.

(2)

In section 42 (police directions stopping harassment etc of a person in their home), in subsection (1)(b)—

(a)

omit the “or” at the end of sub-paragraph (i);

(b)

after sub-paragraph (ii) insert—

“(iii)

that they should not have done something they were entitled or required to do; or

(iv)

that they should have done something they were not under any obligation to do;”.

(3)

In section 42A (offence of harassment etc of a person in their home), in subsection (1)(b)—

(a)

omit the “or” at the end of sub-paragraph (i);

(b)

after sub-paragraph (ii) insert—

“(iii)

that they should not have done something they were entitled or required to do; or

(iv)

that they should have done something they were not under any obligation to do;”.
