Section 59 Calculation of period of detention at police station where person previously detained under another enactment etc.

In section 2(3A) of the M1Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 1980 (detention and questioning at police station)—

(a)

for the words from “he” to “be” there shall be substituted “ and is ”; and

(b)

after the word “detention” there shall be inserted “ , the period of six hours mentioned in subsection (2) above shall be reduced by the length of that earlier detention ”.
