(This note is not part of the Order)

The Dockyard Services Act 1986 (“the Act”) makes provision in connection with any arrangements that may be made by the Secretary of State for or with a view to the provision by contractors of certain dockyard services. This Order revokes the Dockyard Services (Devonport) (Designation and Appointed Day) Order 1986 (S.I. 1986/2243), which designated Devonport Royal Dockyard and the dockyard services provided therein for the purposes of section 1(1) of the Act and appointed a day for the purposes of section 1(1) of the Act.
