Regulation 3 Participation by local authorities

(1)

A local authority must participate in the operation of the database in accordance with these Regulations.

(2)

A local authority is responsible for any child records, responsibility for which—

(a)

is allocated to the authority by the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families; or

(b)

is accepted by the authority with the agreement of the local authority which previously had responsibility for that child record.
