Paragraph 45 Amendment of Part 6 of the 1949 Act (general)

(1)

Section 76 of the 1949 Act (offences relating to registration of marriages)^f1 is amended as follows.

(2)

Omit subsection (2).

(3)

In subsection (4)—

(a)

omit “or subsection (2)”;

(b)

in paragraph (a), omit “in the case of a fine imposed under subsection (1) of this section,”;

(c)

omit paragraph (b), and the “and” preceding it.

(4)

In subsection (5), for “either of the said subsections” substitute “subsection (1)”.
