Paragraph 8 Temporary requirement for electricity generators to make paymentsI1

Regulations under section 16 may not require an electricity generator to make a periodic payment in respect of a period that expires after the end of the period of 5 years beginning with the day on which this Act is passed.

The Secretary of State may by regulations amend this paragraph so as to substitute a longer period for the period specified for the time being in sub-paragraph (1).

Regulations under this paragraph are subject to the affirmative procedure.
