Division 3 The manufacturer shall lodge an application for type examination with a single approved body of his choice.F1F2

The application shall include:

1. (a)

   the name and address of the manufacturer and, if the application is lodged by the authorised representative, his name and address as well;

2. (b)

   a written declaration that the same application has not been lodged with any F3other approved body;

3. (c)

   the technical documentation for the subsystem or the safety component according to Annex VIII;

4. (d)

   a representative specimen of the subsystem or the safety component envisaged or details of the premises where it can be examined. F4The approved body may request further specimens if needed for carrying out the test programme.
