Regulation 2 Amendment of the Extraction Solvents in Food Regulations 1993

in sub-paragraph (e) of paragraph (2) of regulation 4 (sale of food containing extraction solvents and of extraction solvents), for the number “19” there shall be substituted the number “20”;

immediately after item 19 in Part I of Schedule 1 (permitted extraction solvents) there shall be added, in Column 1, the following item—

• “20. Cyclohexane”;

immediately after the entry relating to Propan-1-o1 in Schedule 3 (which specifies maximum residues for extraction solvents in foods containing flavourings prepared from natural flavouring materials by the use of such extraction solvents) there shall be inserted the following entry—
