The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by section 14 of the Local Land Charges Act 1975^f1, and with the concurrence of the Treasury, makes the following Rules:

Explanatory note

1Citation and commencement

These Rules may be cited as the Local Land Charges (Amendment) Rules 2003 and shall come into force on 3rd November 2003.

2Amendment to Schedule 3 to the Local Land Charges Rules 1977

For Schedule 3 to the Local Land Charges Rules 1977^f1 substitute the Schedule in the Schedule to these Rules.

3Revocation

The Local Land Charges (Amendment) Rules 1998^f1 are revoked.

These Rules alter the fees payable in connection with the registration of local land charges fixed by the Local Land Charges (Amendment) Rules 1998 (S.I. 1998/1190). The table below sets out the fee changes. Where a requisition for a search of the whole register is made by electronic means in accordance with rule 16 a reduced fee of £4.00 is introduced.
