The Transport Act 1983 is amended as follows.

In section 1 (interpretation of Part 1 of that Act)—

(a)

in the definition of “Executive” for “passenger transport area” substitute “ integrated transport area ”,

(b)

in the definition of “Authority” for “the metropolitan county passenger transport authority” substitute “ the Integrated Transport Authority ”.
