The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investmentf1, being the Department concernedf2, makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 17(1) to (6)f3 and 55(2) of, and paragraphs 1(1) and (2), 7(1), 8, 13, 14(1) and 15 of Schedule 3 to, the Health and Safety at Work (Northern Ireland) Order 1978f4 (“the 1978 Order”) and Article 3(2) of the Offshore, and Pipelines, Safety (Northern Ireland) Order 1992f5.

In accordance with Article 46(1)f6 of the 1978 Order, the powers exercised give effect without modifications to proposals submitted to it by the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Irelandf7 under Article 13(1A)f8 of the 1978 Order.

In accordance with Article 46(3) of the 1978 Order, the Executive has consulted the bodies which appeared to it to be appropriate.
