Paragraph 17 I1

In section 222 (the statutory funding objective), after subsection (4) insert—

“(4A)

Regulations may, in relation to a superfund scheme—

(a)

provide that it is for the Regulator to determine which methods and assumptions are to be used in calculating a scheme’s technical provisions, and

(b)

require the Regulator, in making its determination, to take into account prescribed matters and follow prescribed principles.”
