England and Wales Not yet in force
At any time before a local development order is adopted by a planning authority, the Welsh Ministers may direct the authority to submit the order (or a part of it) to them for their approval.

In considering an order (or part of an order) submitted to them in accordance with a direction under this paragraph, the Welsh Ministers may take account of any matter they consider relevant, whether or not it was taken into account by the planning authority.
The Welsh Ministers may approve or reject an order (or part of an order) submitted to them in accordance with a direction under this paragraph.
The Welsh Ministers must give reasons for their decision.
