Coming into force 1st April 1998

The Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 50 of the Police Act 1996^f1, after taking into consideration the recommendations made by the Police Negotiating Board for the United Kingdom and supplying that Board with a draft of these Regulations in accordance with section 62(1) of that Act and after supplying the Police Advisory Board for England and Wales with a draft of these Regulations and taking into consideration any representations made by that Board in accordance with section 63(3) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:
