Section 29 (interpretation of Part 2) is amended as follows.

In subsection (1)—

(a)

omit the definition of “the Commission”;

(b)

after the definition of “death or serious injury matter” insert—

““the Director General” means (unless otherwise specified) the Director General of the Office;”;

(c)

before the definition of “person complained against” insert—

““the Office” means the Independent Office for Police Conduct;”.

(3)

In subsection (6)—

(a)

for “Commission”, in each place, substitute “ Director General ”;

(b)

omit “itself”.
