Paragraph 88 Water Industry Act 1991I1

Paragraph 1 of Schedule 13 to the Water Industry Act 1991^f1 (protective provisions in respect of certain undertakings) is amended as follows.

In sub-paragraph (5)(a) for the words “the Post Office” are substituted the words “a universal service provider (so far as it is the provider’s undertaking in relation to the provision of a universal postal service”.

After sub-paragraph (5) is inserted—

“(5A)

In sub-paragraph (5)(a) above “universal service provider” has the same meaning as in the Postal Services Act 2000; and the reference to the provision of a universal postal service shall be construed in accordance with that Act.”.
