a local (consumer safety) authority in Great Britain, an authorisation made under section 72 of the Weights and Measures Act 1985f1(appointment of inspectors);
(b)
a local (consumer safety) authority in Northern Ireland, an authorisation made for the purposes of section 27(2) of the Consumer Protection Act 1987f2(enforcement).
