Article 22 Compulsory acquisition of rightsI1

The undertaker may acquire compulsorily the existing rights and create and acquire compulsorily the new rights described in the book of reference and shown on the land plans.

Subject to section 8 of the 1965 Act, as substituted by article 32 (acquisition of part of certain properties), where the undertaker acquires an existing right over land under paragraph (1), the undertaker is not required to acquire a greater interest in that land.

Schedule 11 (modification of compensation and compulsory purchase enactments for creation of new rights) has effect.
