The Transport (Scotland) Act 1989 is amended as follows.

In section 1 (transfer of operations of Scottish Transport Group), subsection (8) is omitted.

(3)

In section 10 (guarantees)–

(a)

in subsection (1) “with the consent of the Treasury” is omitted;

(b)

in subsection (2) for “each House of Parliament” there is substituted “the Scottish Parliament”; and

(c)

in subsection (4) “with the consent of the Treasury” is omitted.

(4)

In section 14(4) (dissolution of the Group)–

(a)

“with the approval of the Treasury” is omitted; and

(b)

in paragraph (a) “with the agreement of the Treasury” is omitted.
