Explanatory note

These Regulations bring into force provisions in Part 3 of the Scotland Act 2016 which relate to—

• disability, industrial injuries and carer’s benefits (section 22), and

• benefits for maternity, funeral and heating expenses (section 23).

The amendments made by provisions commenced by regulation 2 are subject to transitional provision made by the Scotland Act 2016 (Transitional) Regulations 2017 (S.I. 2017/444).
