(1)

Section 20 of the M1Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992 (descriptions of contributory benefits) is amended as follows.

(2)

In subsection (1) (list of benefits), for paragraphs (b) and (c) substitute—

“(b)
incapacity benefit, comprising—
(i)
short-term incapacity benefit, and
(ii)
long-term incapacity benefit;”.

(3)

In subsection (2)—

(a)

in the definition of “long-term benefit" for paragraph (a) substitute—

“(a)
long-term incapacity benefit;”;

(b)

in the definition of “short-term benefit" for paragraph (b) substitute—

“(b)
short-term incapacity benefit; and”.
