Regulation 17 Appointment of independent members to standards committees

An advertisement published under regulation 13(1) may, if the relevant authority concerned considers appropriate —

(a)

notify local government electors for that relevant authority’s area that the chairperson and vice-chairperson of its standards committee are elected from the independent members of that committee; and

(b)

notify those electors of the qualities and experience that may be required of independent members holding such positions.
