The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by paragraph 2(12)(a) of Schedule 2 to the Museums and Galleries Act 1992f1(“the Act”):

1Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Tate Gallery Board (Additional Members) Order 2008 and comes into force on 21st March 2008.

2Amendment

In paragraph 2(1) of Schedule 2 to the Act, for “twelve” substitute “fourteen”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends paragraph 2(1) of Schedule 2 to the Museums and Galleries Act 1992 so as to increase the number of members of the Tate Gallery Board from twelve to fourteen.
