In Part 1 of this Schedule a “policy decision” means any decision made by a body about the exercise of its functions or about the conduct of its business or other undertaking, in so far as the decision relates to—

1. (a)

   the admission and selection of students;

2. (b)

   information provided to students and prospective students about the body;

3. (c)

   the welfare of students;

4. (ch)

   complaints;

5. (d)

   disciplinary proceedings in respect of a student;

6. (dd)

   careers service;

7. (e)

   student intranet, virtual learning sites and learning portal sites;

8. (f)

   graduation and award ceremonies;

9. (ff)

   the assessment or examination of a student;

10. (g)

    the awarding of grants and the provision of financial assistance;

11. (ng)

    (ng) public lectures;

12. (h)

    learning opportunities;

13. (i)

    courses;

14. (j)

    signs on the body’s buildings;

15. (l)

    student accommodation, libraries and arts centres;

16. (ll)

    allocation of a personal tutor;

17. (m)

    calls to a main telephone number (or numbers), helpline numbers, call centre numbers and automated telephone systems;

In this Schedule ‘learning opportunities’ has the same meaning as in paragraph 63 of Schedule 1.
