The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 20 and 29(1) of the Building (Scotland) Act 1959 f1, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

These Regulations may be cited as the Building (Procedure) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 30th January 1989.

For Schedule 2 to the Building (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1981 f1 there shall be substituted the Schedule to these Regulations.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations replace and simplify the scale of building control fees in the Building (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1981. The average increase is 20%. Flat rate and minimum fees are increased to £12.
