Section 5 Citation, interpretation and extent.

(1)

This Act may be cited as the Horserace Betting Levy Act 1981.

(2)

In this Act—

  • “the Act of 1963” means the M1Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act 1963;

  • “the M2Act of 1969” means the Horserace Betting Levy Act 1969;

  • F1“the Levy Board” has the same meaning as in the Act of 1963;

  • F2“levy period” has the same meaning as in Part 1 of the Act of 1963.

This Act does not extend to Northern Ireland.
