Section 98 (definitions) is amended as follows.

In subsection (5), after “public expense”),” insert “ “highway authority”, ”.

After subsection (5A) insert—

“(5B)

Strategic highways company” means a company for the time being appointed under Part 1 of the Infrastructure Act 2015.”
