Any reference in these Regulations to a period mentioned in paragraph (2) does not include any time when the officer concerned is taking a career break determined under regulation 33(12) of the Police Regulations 2003 (leave)f1.
A period is—
a period specified in accordance with F1regulation 17(6A);
the validity period of a written improvement notice specified in regulation 18(4) F2or 46(7)(d);
