Section 40 Power to install equipment for detection of traffic offences.I1

(1)

In Part V of the M1Highways Act 1980 immediately before section 96 there shall be inserted—

“ Power to install equipment for detection of traffic offences.
95A
A highway authority may install and maintain on or near a highway structures and equipment for the detection of traffic offences.”

(2)

In Part IV of the M2Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 after section 49 there shall be inserted—

“ Equipment for detection of traffic offences
Power to install equipment for detection of traffic offences.
49A
A roads authority may install and maintain on or near a road structures and equipment for the detection of traffic offences.”
