Article 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

This Order may be cited as the Woolwich Ferry Order 2000 and shall come into force on 3rd July 2000.

In this Order—

• “the 1885 Act” means the Metropolitan Board of Works (Various Powers) Act 1885^f1

• “the 1986 Order” means the Woolwich Ferry Order 1986^f2, and

• “the Woolwich Ferry” means the ferry established, maintained, worked and regulated under section 14 of the 1885 Act.
